Do you allow refunds or cancellations?
Due to the small size and hands-on nature of my cooking classes, all bookings are non-refundable and cannot be canceled or rescheduled. However, if you’re unable to attend, you are welcome to gift your spot to a friend! Simply email me at allison@vyntagekitchen.com with their name and contact information prior to the class so I can update the guest list. I appreciate your understanding as this policy allows me to plan for each session, ensure the freshest ingredients, and create the best possible experience for all participants. In each space, we reserve the right to cancel a class due to unfulfilled minimum registration and will issue a full refund or credit for another class. Due to sickness or an emergency on the part of the instructor, another convenient date will be set for the class.

Can I bring my own beverage?
PARC: You are welcome to bring your own ‘beverage’ to enjoy during class. Ice water will be available as well!

EAST ELM: We provide bottled water; you can bring in your own water bottle as well.

What time does class start?
PARC: The kitchen door opens 10 minutes before the start of class. The specific class time is listed on each class description (typically 6:30 unless noted otherwise). Please allow yourself time for parking and navigating the building. Find specifics above.

EAST ELM: Doors open 15 minutes prior to class, with classes beginning promptly at designated times. Due to the nature of our short classes, we will not wait for late arrivals. Please allow time for getting parked and getting into the shop to support a prompt start time.

How do the classes work?
PARC: Each session starts with a short discussion and demo on the subject at hand. We then go over our agenda and schedule out each recipe. Participants will typically work in groups of 2 or 4 to complete their recipes. Each guest will be sharing equipment, tools, prep and ultimately the food they’ve made during the class with their table-mates. The agenda will reflect when guests will break to eat their recipes. Sometimes we eat everything at the end, and sometimes we make a recipe, break to enjoy it, then get on with the next recipe.

EAST ELM: You arrive in a cozy retail setting and take your seat for the evening. I showcase a full demonstration of the subject matter and you get to sit back, relax, and enjoy what I’ve cooked! No need to lift a finger!

How many people are in each class?
PARC: Anywhere from 6 to 28!

EAST ELM: 14 is our maximum allowance for participants.

How long are classes?
Classes are typically 2.5 to 3 hours.

Can I bring my kid?
Classes are ages 15 and up. If you are interested in children and teen cooking classes, please check out The Simple Kitchen; Chef Kristin’s classes are fantastic and held in the Proud Mitten Culinary Concepts Kitchen! The Simple Kitchen

What if I have a food allergy or intolerance?

Is there a waiting list for classes that are full?
PARC: Yes! If a class is booked, please email me with your name, phone number, and class of interest  and I will get you on a wait list! First on the list gets the first opportunity in the case of a participant cancelation.

If you're interested in booking a workshop but it is sold out, please call the shop and speak with an associate or leave a clear voice message detailing (1) your name, (2) phone number, (3) class name and date of interest.
